BioStuff...Yup, I should put Stuff here, Stuff about me even...Like my obsession with stuff..? Lets see... Everything that has anything to do with the movie 'The Lost Boys', Video games (Castlevania, Silent Hill, Guitar Hero just ta name a few...), Vampire LARP games (WOD 3.0!), 'old school' Pen and Paper RPG games (Like D&D), Naughtyness of ALL sorts ^.~ Oh, and Especially Fan-Fic! Glitter (Yep, I'm weird... Long story), My two housecats, Caffinated Sodas, Halloween Marshmallow Peeps, Halloween (just in general), And for anything not listed here or under 'Interests' Feel free to ask in LJ comments. Hah.
Aside from that, let's see... I'll list some stuff I'm proud of and have NO desire to hide or dance around to avoid mentioning...
My chosen name is David Skye McKenzie, though I have yet to officially file the expensive paperwork to 'legally' change it, I will some day soon. I don't mind being called David, but most of my friends call me by my middle name.
My 'legal' name is known to my friends, though if they respect me, they don't use it unless speaking to someone who doesn't know better... Though that will become more and more rare as I 'explain' to more people.
I'm 23, and my birth date is Feb. 12th of 1986... At aprox. 7:43 PM if you must know.
Aside from that, I'm Male, and would apriciate being called such when relivant. Disrespecting this because I'm Transgender and thus was born with the 'wrong bits' is a QUICK way to get on my shit list, and if I know you IRL, it will likely result in my fist meeting your face rather abruptly. Nothing personal, just business. I'm just very unsympathetic and rude toward people who pull that shit...
And yes, I am VERY proud of my FTM Transgender status at the moment, I damn near didn't make it to be the man sitting here typing now just because too many out there don't think the same way and feel it should be repressed and ignored.
While I can see their VERY valid points, that we should NOT be defined by who we are just because nature fucked us over, I also don't see the point of violently repressing it and pitching a fit about letting people know FTM transgender ARE out there...
Hell, I think we should get more credit or be on TV or some shit, MTF get at least SOME recognition and notice, I knew about them ever since I was a kid... But no one even thinks you 'can be' FTM!
And it makes me wonder how many others out there suffer and possibly die just because of people's ignorance as well as a desire to blend in and all that...
And as I said, while I do NOT begrudge anoyone that right at ALL.
It's not for me, and I don't understand it... But everybody's different, ya know? So it's a matter of whatever works for individual people.
Though I truthfully don't know how much of this is normally me or not, I'm sure some of it is inspired by my medications and hormone treatment injections inspiring me to be a bit more assertive about it, but then again, I always did have a thing for wanting to stand up for what I believed in, even before that... So perhaps just getting treatment to help me be more comfortable with myself has helped this, I don't know.
But for now that is all I can come up with, and it's decidedly more than a basic 'Biography' should be... Perhaps some day later this week I'll post something more 'fitting' here before all this, like your standard LJ meme "name/age/likes/dislikes" list, but I think that so long as I feel this way, this little mini-rant is going to stay up...
